"Finding Your Niche" - Trailblazing and finding your sweet spot!

After eight years as a wedding and portrait photographer I felt my passion and creativity beginning to wain. My light bulb moment came in the most unexpected of places, standing in the checkout line at Homegoods! Seeing the gorgeous styled promotional images of home decor on the walls I thought to myself, "I can do that!" Almost overnight I made the decision to jump head first into the unknown world of styling and product photography, deleted eight years of wedding photography off of my website, landed my first commercial client and have never looked back! I have finally found that organic, creative, authenticity that always seemed to be missing in those early years as a photographer. Also a pioneer in the area of styled stock photography, I opened the SC Stockshop as the first of its kind in Nov of 2014. It was my hope that it would serve as a way of providing professional styled stock photography to smaller businesses. Through it all, I have found the work that my heart truly loves. I have a lot of other loves as well; my first love is Jesus who has graciously given me a best friend of a husband of 10 years, and two curly haired girls and together we have put down roots as a family in Tampa, FL.
