Have you ever encountered a business situation in which you wanted to say no, but weren’t sure how? Maybe it was fear, or guilt, or just an inability to articulate the word “no,” and as a result, the areas of your life that matter most are beginning to suffer. Sound familiar? I’ve been there, and I’m guessing you might have been there too. We’ll dive into figuring out why the word “No” is a necessary component to every small business owner’s toolkit, and how you can use No to go from being swamped with things that don’t matter, to running a business that enables a life you love.
The Gentle No | Declining With Grace and Saving Face
Hey there! I’m Abby Grace, an international Anniversary + Wedding photographer for the old-school chic couple in love. I’m based just outside the Washington DC area where my husband Matt & I work together. I’m in the middle of a lifelong love affair with France, so I’m fortunate enough to shoot in Europe a few times a year, too!
Weddings are how I got into the industry, but one of the reasons I’ve stayed is because I love teaching and sharing with fellow creative entrepreneurs! Over the last year I’ve had the honor of teaching across the country at various conferences, as well as the workshops we host in our home and online. I laugh too loud, often speak in movie quotes or song lyrics, and have read all seven Harry Potter books more times than I will ever publicly admit. I’ve been lucky enough to have been part of the Creative family since the first conference, and I can’t wait to see where this community goes next!
